Marikina Canopy

This project presents a contemporary, human-scaled entrance walkway defined by a sleek steel-framed canopy and a warm timber soffit that creates a strong sense of arrival while maintaining openness to its surroundings. The layered pergola system—combining upper steel framing with integrated greenery and a lower slatted wood ceiling—filters light during the day and transforms into a softly illuminated corridor at night through recessed downlights and linear fixtures, producing a calm, inviting atmosphere.

Clean concrete paving, a sculptural rain chain detail, and a curved planter filled with lush tropical vegetation reinforce a balance between hard and soft elements, grounding the architecture in its landscape context.
